汉默最好的恐怖片之一。剧情紧凑曲折，正邪双方来回斗智斗勇。情节引入大量神秘学概念，邪灵直接现身，相当有代入感，更有种向默片**克里斯滕森的《**》回首的意味。最后半小时极具张力，魔法阵一段不仅是正邪的攻防对抗，也是关于人是如何对抗自己的恐惧怀疑，重新理解脑中的常识（不过感觉借鉴了果戈里的《邪灵》），结尾甚至涉及时空，格局可谓超前。查尔斯·**不怒自威气场十足，塑造出**恐怖片里相当有记忆点的一个反派，不愧是扮演过Blofeld的演员
